The EU’s moved ambitiously and proscriptively with its CSRD finalized in 2022; the SEC’s announced then delayed (twice) its own climate disclosure rules, and US states like California have moved ahead on their own. The upshot of these disparate, but detailed, rules is a scramble by firms to cobble together the internal resources and external support – in terms of software and services – to comply.
